Welcome to the Roch Valley District Association (RVDA) website.

As part of the Camping and Caravanning Club, RVDA are a group of campers comprising families, couples and singles of all ages dedicated to caravanning, meeting and socialising with friends and like minded people and enjoying the great outdoors.
We camp most weekends throughout the summer months and even a few in winter.
Please feel free to peruse our web site to find out what we get up to.
Any feedback you choose to provide will be well received, and, should you wish to join us on the field, you are assured of a warm RVDA welcome.

A message from the Chairman

On behalf of the Roch Valley District Association (RVDA) of the Camping and Caravanning Club (CCC) may I welcome you to our website. It has been developed to help you gain an insight to the RVDA and its activities.
We are a family friendly group with a vibrant Youth section. Our regular weekend meets take place over a widespread area of the North West of England attempting to cater for members near and far. Our meets cover a  variety of activities including family walks, visits to local places of interest, sports, fun & games on the field and, of course, sociable and often entertaining gatherings in the evenings.
DA meets, like ours, are an affordable form of camping. We regularly camp on defined farm rally fields, rally sites attached to official campsites or maybe sited adjacent to a village hall for evening ‘get togethers’, especially in the winter months.
Our ‘Roast Night’ meet, held annually in early June, is our premier meet of the season and you will see from the photo gallery what a great entertaining weekend RVDA organise for fellow CCC members. Like every weekend we camp, we aim to create an enjoyable and friendly atmosphere and I can assure everyone of a warm welcome on the field any meet.
If you are a member of the Camping and Caravanning Club and would like to join us, whether in a Tent, Trailer-Tent, Motor-Home or Caravan, please see our list of meets for the 2010 season and feel free to come along.

May I wish you all an enjoyable time when camping with us.

Ian Tyrer

Riverside Caravan Site is situated near Skipton in the Yorkshire dales. Nestled in the quiet village of Cononley, this small family run site is situated 3 miles from Skipton, the gateway to the dales. The site boasts gorgeous views of the surrounding hills and countryside, with footpaths leading to the river Aire. Cononley has two local pubs, both serving meals, a post office/shop and a Cantonese take away. There is an excellent railway station in the village with links to Skipton, Settle/Carlisle, Keighley, Bingley and Leeds. As we are a working farm, new born lambs can be seen in the spring time. Please come along and enjoy this wonderful part of the world.

Please note: As this is a THS, normal Rally rules apply. Site facilities such as toilets and showers are not available to the THS so your own sanitation is essential. There is no hook up facility. Generators are allowed with the approval of the Stewards but please pay due consideration to your neighbours. Dogs must be on a lead on the field and all quiet after 11:00pm. If you have any queries regarding this THS, please contact the Stewards, Denise and Roger Marsden on: 07950900119

Provisional meets list published foe 2011
We are now looking for Stewards for next year. If you'd like to put yourself forward, please browse through the list to see what takes your fancy.
There is no obligation other than to take bookings on the field. We welcome new Stewards and appreciate anyone who puts something back into the group in this way.  There'll be plenty of experienced campers, RV committee and members to assist in any way necessary and it can be quite satisfying. Go on, you might even enjoy it.
